10,000 Zombies Take to Streets of Grand Rapids, MI: Did Rob Bliss' Social Zombie Walk Win Back Guinness World Record? #grrr

Bliss is confident that Grand Rapids Zombie Walk 2009 broke the record.

"I know I have it. I just don't know if I'll be able to collect all of the signatures," said Bliss, noting 40 to 50 volunteers were on hand to harvest brains, err, those John Hancocks.

Todd Tofferi, the city's special events coordinator, estimated 8,000 zombies attended the event.

Currently, Ledbury, England, holds the record with 4,026 zombies."

Say What? You dont Freecycle yet? We do, and you should. #ThisIsHow

Freecycling is when a person passes on, for free, an unwanted item to another person who needs that item. From silverware to mobile homes, people worldwide are choosing to freecycle rather than discard. The practice frees up space in landfills and cuts down on the need to manufacture new goods. Thousands of groups dedicated to connecting people who want to give away something to people with a need are forming worldwide. Here are three steps you can take to join the freecycling movement:

Halo cloud or Moscow cloud spotted in Northern Michigan

My sister-in-law took these photos about a week ago at our cottage on Crooked Lake just north of Petoskey, Michigan. I thought they looked a little different (See for yourself) but didn't think much of it until I saw the recent images of the reported Halo cloud or Moscow cloud. These photos are completely untouched and have not been altered in photoshop. Check out the riple effects on the water in a couple of the images, it was certainly windy out, but i dont even think changes in wind direction can cause cross-rippling affects like these, especially on an inland lake. They appear to be similar to patterns you see that are caused by vibration or sound reflection. Explanations? Thoughts?
